China's agricultural trade saw a 4% year-on-year growth in the first seven months of 2023, reaching a total value of $198.62 billion, according to data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.



A Positive Trend in Agricultural Trade

According to official statistics, China's agricultural trade experienced a 4% year-on-year increase in the first seven months of 2023. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs reported that the total value of agricultural imports and exports reached $198.62 billion during this period.

Detailed Breakdown

The data further revealed that China's agricultural imports surged by 5.4% year-on-year, amounting to $142.78 billion. On the other hand, agricultural exports saw a modest rise of 0.6%, totaling $55.84 billion.

Trade Deficit Insights

China's trade deficit in agricultural products stood at $86.94 billion for the same period, marking an 8.7% increase compared to the previous year.
